Richard Strickland NCACI, GCADCI, CACI

Richard is the Chief Operating Officer ConRoc Inc and with almost 19 years he has worked in every position in both the Men’s and Women’s house. He is very involved and dedicated to the day to day operations of both houses. Although he is not on the front line as the counselors, he still feels he is contributing to sobriety of the Individuals receiving care. 

Richard is very compassionate in Addiction Counseling and making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Bridget Hayes, ACT, PP - CGS (Certified Grief Specialist)

 

Bridget joined the Rockdale House in 2013 and is the Executive Director. She is currently working on certification with a projected completion in early 2020 and pleasured to have experience growth in her job at The Rockdale House thanks to all the dedication of the great staff. Throughout her 6 years, she has witnessed the care and respect given to every resident that lives in the facility. She believes in the mission of quality care that the administration instills and try to display that everyday in her work. It is Bridget's passion to help women become a productive member of society and to help them grow and blossom into the beautiful women they are and helping others and possesses excellent communication and social skills. Bridget firmly believes in running a fiscally prudent operation with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards of care in a warm and nurturing environment all while adhering to the strictest ethical standards. 

Driven by bringing joy and a new way to live to others, she is devoted to creating a true community at The Rockdale House for Women. 

Joe Bernert, ACT, PP

Joe joined the Rockdale House for Men as a house manager in 2017 and is currently the Executive Director. He is currently working on certification, working under the tutelage of his clinical supervisor, Gail Venerable, with a projected completion date in early 2020. Previously, before moving to Georgia, he worked in the recovery field at Chestnut Behavioral Health Systems in Bloomington, IL.

Mr Bernert is a certified S.M.A.R.T. Recovery facilitator and facilitated recovery meetings in Fayetteville, GA before coming to the Rockdale House for Men. He feels he has been fortunate to watch others grow during the time they are at the house; mentally, physically, and more importantly, emotionally, and also fortunate for the smaller role he played in facilitating their growth.

Gail Venerable LPC, Psychotherapist,NCC, MAC, CADC-II, CAC-II, ICADC, NCC, DUI Clinical Evaluator

Gail Venerable is a licensed psychotherapist who works part time as a therapist with Rockdale House for Men and she is also in private practice.  Her primary focus is to assist individuals in engaging in a healthy lifestyle by providing a holistic approach to empower self-efficacy. In addition, she believes in a collaborative therapeutic relationship and an eclectic approach (i.e., CBT, family systems, etc.) because one type of therapy does not fit everyone. 

Gail Venerable, graduated from Argosy University in 2013 with honors (cum laude) with a Masters in Community Counseling and from University of Phoenix in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Since graduating she has enjoyed the many benefits of working for Rockdale House for Men and running a private practice.

She is a member of Chi Sigma Iota and the Licensed Professional Counselors Association. 

Alan Rogers, ACT, PP, EIC

Alan is a retired Broadcast Engineer and now is one of the house managers at the Rockdale House For Men. Alan came to the house in September 2019.  He is passionate about recover and is in recovery himself.  His primary focus is to help carry the message of recovery to our clients. He has also been involved in the house for many years and as recently as a weekly outside group leader. 

Working 24 - 72 hour shifts allows him the opportunity for one on one time with each client.  This can prove beneficial for the client, but for Alan too!

Shawn Lee Adkins, ACT, PP

Shawn is not only a House Manager but was once a client. He started his journey in 2016 and has not looked back. He has very strong feelings when it comes to giving back what has been given to him. Everyday is a gift, challenge and a lesson learned. He is currently working on getting his Bachelor in Psychotherapy. 

Deonna Hamby

Deonna is our Administrative Secretary for Rockdale Houses for Men and Women. She handles financial matters such as client billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and various other administrative tasks.
