Richard is the Chief Operating Officer ConRoc Inc and with almost 19 years he has worked in every position in both the Men’s and Women’s house. He is very involved and dedicated to the day to day operations of both houses. Although he is not on the front line as the counselors, he still feels he is contributing to sobriety of the Individuals receiving care.
Richard is very compassionate in Addiction Counseling and making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
John Walker is the Executive Director of the Rockdale House for Men and has worked with those struggling with addiction for 12 years. Prior to joining the staff at Rockdale House for Men, he worked 10 years as a case manager and administrative staff at one of the largest inpatient facilities in the state of Georgia. John has also worked as a counselor for an outpatient clinic, and as a facilitator for Spectrum Health Systems. His own personal journey of recovery inspired him to become an Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor and a local pastor in the UMC. John uses a variety of modalities which incorporates best practice from CBT, MIT, and Solution Focused approaches. He believes that when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, they are free to experience change. John enjoys playing golf, reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife, their three children, and three grandchildren.
Lisa has been a grateful employee at the Rockdale House for Women since February 2018. She is pursuing her certificate in addiction counseling. Lisa is responsible for supporting individuals with developing an active and healthy recovery program. She exhibits and promotes consistency which is a key ingredient for recovery and structured compliance through progress tracking, relapse prevention and required accountability. Through understanding and compassion, Lisa wants to help each individual find their purpose and help them rebuild families and communities one by one.
Alan is a retired Broadcast Engineer and now is one of the house managers at the Rockdale House For Men. Alan came to the house in September 2019. He is passionate about recovery and is in recovery himself. His primary focus is to help carry the message of recovery to our clients. He has also been involved in the house for many years and as recently as a weekly outside group leader.
Working 24 - 72 hour shifts allows him the opportunity for one on one time with each client. This can prove beneficial for the client, but for Alan too!
Shawn is not only a House Manager but was once a client. He started his journey in 2016 and has not looked back. He has very strong feelings when it comes to giving back what has been given to him. Everyday is a gift, challenge and a lesson learned. He is currently working on getting his Bachelor in Psychotherapy.
Phil was a client in the Men's House from January 2011 until June 2011. His love for plants and the recovery process kept him coming back to visit and help with the greenhouses. In 2015, he went to work at a 28 day treatment facility in Newton County. In late 2019, he joined the staff at Rockdale House for Men. His recovery slogan is " When the student is ready, the teacher will appear".
Deonna is our Administrative Secretary for Rockdale Houses for Men and Women. She handles financial matters such as client billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and various other administrative tasks.
